I love my job as I can see the difference it makes, especially in children and young adults. By talking and gaining an understanding of the world around them and where they fit in.
Knowing that it’s OK to be different and to embrace who they are. Knowing that it’s OK to feel sad, but learning how to turn that sadness around. Knowing it’s OK to have fallings out with friends, but having the skills to deal with it and handling confrontation, positively.
These are all life skills, if they learn now, their Mental Health will be so much stronger as an adult, they will be much happier about who they are……Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a powerful and hugely positive thing!
