Eat before you go shopping, make a list and stick to it, if it’s not on your list, don’t buy it and don’t be tempted by the Buy one get one Free, unless it’s on that list.
Making lists is a coping strategy in CBT and can help you with your decision making. A shopping list has to be achievable though, you can’t just buy a shopping cart of celery!! Plan meals, what do you fancy that week, use fresh ingredients when you can. Look up some new simple recipes that you can do, not a Michelin star recipe!!! It’s all about keeping it real and achievable.
